Chairman's Message 2025

As we get ready to take the summer break from our event schedule, I want to thank and congratulate Matt and the entire Board for a successful first year.  This year, we have seen more members and guests enjoying our meetings and events than in previous years. We have added new venues like the Central Park Boat House last week; securing the best venues and prices for our membership is always a priority for the entire NLEA Board.

The Team is working hard on confirming the rest of the year, starting with our picnic in September, followed by lunch in October, our pre-Thanksgiving dinner in November, and the best Holiday luncheon in law enforcement in December. Please look for announcements on the dates and locations.

Last week at our President's Dinner, we were able to award seven (7) scholarships to incoming college freshmen. We were lucky enough to have many of the recipients present with us for the evening. Many of these scholarships were funded by donations from our generous membership. This year, we will formalize a process where scholarships can be named in honor of someone. It was also great to see many former Presidents join us from near and far.

This year, we have made it easier for current members to pay dues online and at our events. We also made it easier for new members who qualify to join our organization. If you have a guest with you at an event and you think they would be a good candidate to join, please encourage them to. Growing this organization is the key to our success. Please take the time to check your own dues status too.

Wishing you all a safe and happy summer, and we will see you all in September.

Fraternally,

Mike Casey

Chairman
